We have kick-started the year with a successful international trade mission to Paris alongside 12 incredible Australian climate tech companies! You can check out the companies here.

These innovators are not only addressing the urgent challenges of climate change but also spearheading Australian climate solutions that are gaining global attention. Over a busy week, this trade mission connected them with customers, investors, mentors, and partners on an international stage, often over a delicious croissant!

A huge thank you to our partners at the Queensland Government, without whom this mission would not be possible.

Some takeaways:

  • The EU has world-leading climate policy and regulation, such as CBAM, and France2030, which is driving investment into climate tech companies and accelerating the uptake of their solutions by customers. The imperative to adopt sustainable practices and technologies has never been more pressing.
  • In this landscape, Australian climate tech companies are positioning themselves as global climate tech leaders.
  • There has never been a better time for climate tech companies to consider setting up business in the EU, and there is a lot of support for founders when they are doing so.

Throughout the trip, companies met with potential customers, investors, partners and ecosystem supporters. Highlights included:

  • Hosting our very own sold out Australian Climate Tech Pitch Night
  • Exhibiting and attending Hello Tomorrow Global Summit
  • Lunch with partners near the Eiffel Tower
  • Meetup with Techstars Paris and Choose Paris Region

This Paris trade mission was a pivotal opportunity for the 12 attending companies: the chance to showcase their solutions to a global audience, foster essential connections, and explore setting up business in the EU by connecting into a global hub of climate action.
