Last year, the 2022 Climate Tech Industry Report showed that climate tech in Australia is diverse, growing strongly, and has raised over $1.4B in capital.
With never before collected data from 171 companies, the 2022 Report has been viewed over 1300 times in over 35 countries, and covered by the AFR, Digital Nation, Startup Daily, The Fifth Estate and more, to a collective total of 15 million readers! And this year we are going to do it again.
The 2023 Industry Report will track the growth of the Australian climate tech industry over the past 12 months. By using benchmark data from 2022, we can identify areas of growth, opportunity gaps, and highlight founders' successes in what has been a bumpy year.
If you are an Australian climate tech founder please take a few minutes to fill out this survey. It will provide key data about the ecosystem and we couldn't complete our report without your help. You'll also get some great founder perks, detailed in the FAQs below. All of your data will be anonymised and kept confidential by the Climate Salad team.

What is the Industry Report?
Climate Salad is publishing the second comprehensive report into the state of the Australian Climate Tech industry. This industry report allows us to track the development of the industry, highlight sectors of growth and opportunity, and provides an overview of diversity, capital raising, technology and impact.
What is the Founder Survey?
The founder survey will inform the industry report. This survey is for anyone involved with a climate tech company. Only one person per company needs to complete it.
It is voluntary and will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete.
We know how busy you are as founders, but we would urge you to take the time to fill this survey out because it will provide previously unknown data about
- sector breakdown, including business models, technology used and target markets
- capital raise and revenue
- challenges you face
What are the benefits if I complete the Founder Survey?
When you complete the survey we will add your company logo (with your consent) to the introduction of the Industry Report. You can also choose to have your comapny name, logo, URL, sector and short elevator pitch to our new Industry Report directory. You will be invited to a pre-publication showcase to access a breakdown of the data, and see where your company sits within the ecosystem.
How will my data be used?
Your data will always remain confidential and anonymous. We will only use the Founders Survey data for the purposes of the Industry Report. Companies will never be identified (besides your logo on the report and in the directory, if you consent).
When will the report be published?
The report will be launched in mid-2023. Keep your eyes peeled!
